How music helps to relax and recharge our mind?

Music has been a powerful form of expression for a long time in human history. It is also one of the oldest form of human expression. Music is powerful thing because of its lovely and melodious combination of both vocal and instrumental aspects. Music has various forms which have their own importance. Today we will see how and what type of music is good for relaxation of mind.
Human body achieves a great state of mind when he or she listens to a rhythmic piece of sound. We respond to rhythms because of its vibration. As you know any sound has its vibrational frequency and so does music. These vibrations are intercepted by human body through ears and it sends signal to our brain. We recognize the vibrations and feel good. Musical rhythmic vibrations are powerful because they enhance our mind to understand the feelings and expression behind it.
Human body and brain reacts to music as per its vibrational frequency and rhythms. So it depends on what kind of music genres we indulge in listening. Our body can react both positively or negatively while listening the music as it impacts our mind deeply.
Music as a therapy:-
Over the years humans have figured out that music can be used as a therapy for relaxation and calmness of mind. As per a study of neuroscientists music helps mind to get through any kind of stress and anxiety and stay focused and active.
The main reason for using music as an aid is to counter physical, emotional, social and psychological needs of an individual or a group. Music therapy includes various activities or techniques like listening, playing instruments, dancing, writing songs etc. Each activity plays an important role in changing our mood from low to high or high to low. There are times or phases in our life when we feel low or overstressed. In this times music can help to alter our mood and subsequently influence our behavior.
Chronic health issues like depression, hypertension, stress, anxiety, autism and mood related issues are countered through music therapy. Music is used to channelize the energy an individual spends on negative thought process to a positive mindset.
Choose what you listen wisely:-
Now, as we know music influences our mood, mindset and behavior we must choose what we listen wisely. Negative form of music can impact our mind negatively. Mostly these things go unnoticed by us as it has been normal. Sad music can make us emotionally active but at the same time it can make us emotionally weak. The modern or western hard rock metal music amuses us but at the same time it can encourage aggressiveness and rage ness. Music connects us deeply emotionally and can impact our behavior strongly.
Enjoy each form of music there is no such thing that we must listen a particular genre but try to figure out that which music is good for you. As per my experience I listen to all kind of genres but when I am to stay concentrated and focused I choose calm Indian classical music. It helps me to have myself under complete physical and psychological control. I hope this post is useful for you.
